With a playoff win on the line, Lowell rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the Thornapple Kellogg Trojans. The victory was nothing new for the Red Arrows as they're now sitting on five straight.
It was another big night for Wyatt Putnam, who rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 15 yards and one TD.
Putnam was just one part of a punishing run game: Lowell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thornapple Kellogg only rushed for 128.
Lowell's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Thornapple Kellogg, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.
