Basketball Game Preview: DeSoto Central Jaguars vs. Booneville Blue Devils

The DeSoto Central Jaguars will head out to take on the Booneville Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Booneville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on DeSoto Central, who comes in off a win.

DeSoto Central took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-31 victory over Pontotoc.

Meanwhile, Booneville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 56-50 to Olive Branch.

DeSoto Central might still be hurting after the 40-18 defeat they got from Booneville in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
