The Wilson Bulldogs will take on the Emmaus Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Wilson took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Reading 8-1.

Christo Hunsicker made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
In other batting news, Gabe Spohn was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Ernesto, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Emmaus). They put the hurt on Louis E. Dieruff with a sharp 11-1 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won seven in a row.
Like Wilson, Emmaus also got a great game from a two-way player: Robert Barnes. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Barnes has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Emmaus let Logan Ravier and Josh Diaz run wild. Ravier scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Diaz scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Drew McGeehan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Emmaus' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Wilson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wilson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Emmaus struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
