Baseball Recap: Raymond/South Bend Takes a Loss

Raymond/South Bend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Northwest Christian Wolverines, falling 17-5.

Jonah Rumbles made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Raymond/South Bend's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. Northwest Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Raymond/South Bend is headed away from home for the first time to challenge North Beach at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Raymond/South Bend's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Northwest Christian, they will be playing at home against Orofino at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
