Chloe Vandyke commands the offense for Spartans win

Recap: South Paulding Spartans vs. Paulding County Patriots

Even though the South Paulding Spartans have not done well against the Paulding County Patriots recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. South Paulding came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 52-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South Paulding.

South Paulding's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chloe Vandyke, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chrissy Warner, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.

Paulding County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alexus Wilson, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Wilson hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Jastacia Whitaker was another key contributor, scoring a point along with five assists and five steals.

South Paulding has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season. As for Paulding County, they dropped their record down to 11-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Paulding will challenge the Jaguar at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. New Manchester knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully the Spartans likes a good challenge. As for Paulding County, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
