Basketball Game Preview: Renton Red Hawks vs. Bellevue Wolverines

The Renton Red Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Bellevue Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Saturday, Renton came up short against Mount Si and fell 70-61. While losing is never fun, the Red Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Wildcats are ranked 22nd).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bellevue against Skyline on Saturday as the squad secured a 78-45 win. That looming 78-45 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolverines yet this season.

Bellevue has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Renton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Renton couldn't quite finish off Bellevue when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 72-70. Can Renton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
