Softball Recap: Fresno Comes Up Short

Fresno lost against Washington Union back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fresno Warriors came up short against the Washington Union Panthers, falling 18-5. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kylee Sanchez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Mia Olguin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Fresno's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Washington Union, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fresno will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fresno Christian at 3:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Washington Union, they will face off against McLane at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
