Volleyball Recap: Fort Walton Beach Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fort Walton Beach had lost six straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-16 to make it seven. They came up short against the Arnold Marlins, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marlins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Despite the defeat, Fort Walton Beach saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ally Ritter had 11 digs and six assists. Aniyah Boyd also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

As for Arnold, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-15. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arnold to victory, but perhaps none more so than Capri Thomas, who had eight digs and four assists. That's the most assists Thomas has posted over her last five matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacqueline Wooten, who had nine assists and two aces.

Fort Walton Beach has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Pensacola Catholic on the 9th. As for Arnold, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Godby on the 9th.
