Legend had won 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 9-1 to make it 12. They took down the Regis Jesuit Raiders 42-28. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Titans were down 28-14 in the second quarter.

Ryken Banks had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 100 receiving yards. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 59 yards.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 18 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Freddie Burke, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from him.

Legend didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gavin Reinhart and Burke.

As for Regis Jesuit, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.3 points over those games.

Despite the loss, Regis Jesuit saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luke Rubley threw for 284 yards and four TDs. Rubley's passing game has become a key predictor of the Raiders' success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-5 otherwise. Colt Jones did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 66 receiving yards.

Legend does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Regis Jesuit, they will take on Erie at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
