Soccer Recap: Freeburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Freeburg lost against Father McGivney Catholic back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Midgets lost 4-1 to the Griffins. One thing that didn't help Freeburg's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Dathan Krauss.

Freeburg's goal came courtesy of Ethan Zobrist, which was the first he's scored this season.

Freeburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeburg will host Roxana at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeburg will be up against Roxana's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Marquette Catholic at 4:30 p.m.
