Recap: Ord Chanticleers vs. Grand Island Central Catholic Crusaders
On Thursday, Ord was able to grind out a solid victory over Grand Island Central Catholic, taking the game 42-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ord.
Ord's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Hinrichs, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Hinrichs also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Talan Bruha, who scored ten points.
Grand Island Central Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Thomas Liban, who scored 14 points. Liban scored a full 40% of Grand Island Central Catholic's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Wolfe, who scored seven points.
The victory got Ord back to even at 3-3. As for Grand Island Central Catholic, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Ord and Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family will round out the year against one another at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday at.
