Volleyball Recap: Huntley Finds Playoff Glory Versus Rockford Auburn

With a playoff win on the line, Huntley rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rockford Auburn Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Red Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Huntley took both sets by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-4.

Their offense was headlined by Lucy Watson and Izzy Whitehouse, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Abby Whitehouse and her 12 assists. Summer Massow controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Huntley's win bumped their record up to 26-10. As for Rockford Auburn, they dropped their record down to 7-21 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Huntley will host Hononegah at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rockford Auburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
