Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Los Angeles Leadership Academy). They strolled past Iovine and Young Center with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 35-20. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy found their leader in freshman Alexa Hernandez, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Reyes, who earned two points along with nine steals and five boards.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Iovine and Young Center, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy and Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Los Angeles Leadership Academy's defense has only allowed 18.8 points per game this season, so Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Iovine and Young Center, they will host USC East at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
