Volleyball Recap: North Andover Takes a Loss + How To Watch

North Andover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Billerica Memorial Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scarlet Knights of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

North Andover took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.

Laila Yacouba-Issa paced North Andover's offense, picking up five kills. Yacouba-Issa got some help from Brynn Patenaude and her ten assists. Yacouba-Issa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Leading Billerica Memorial to victory were Makayla Sibert and Emma Johnson. Sibert had nine digs and three aces, while Johnson had three aces. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

North Andover now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Billerica Memorial, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-7.

Coming up, North Andover will venture away from home to take on Dracut at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Billerica Memorial, they are taking a road trip to square off against Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
