Basketball Recap: Tuscarora Comes Up Short

Tuscarora was the 36-30 winner over Heritage when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tuscarora Huskies lost 37-16 to the Heritage Pride on Monday. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Heritage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Stanford out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Riley Makitka was another key player, putting up three points along with seven steals and five boards.

Tuscarora's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Heritage, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Dominion the next time they take the court. Heritage will host Dominion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Tuscarora will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
