Football Game Preview: Millard North Mustangs vs. Omaha Central Eagles + Official Tickets

The Millard North Mustangs will face off against the Omaha Central Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Millard North easily dispatched Lincoln East last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Mustangs fell just short of Kearney by a score of 31-28 on Friday. The close contest was extra heartbreaking for the Mustangs, who almost overcame a 21 point deficit.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Isaiah Traylor, who rushed for 103 yards and one score. Cameron Leggett was another key signal caller, throwing for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Omaha Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down Papillion-LaVista 34-17 on Friday.

Omaha Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Tory Pittman Iii picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He has been hot recently, having also posted seven or more total tackles the last three times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Omaha Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Millard North, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5.
