After a string of four wins, Mt. Carmel's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Anthony Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. If the Golden Aces were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in September of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Tenley Davis and Gabby Schneider certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Davis had seven digs and three aces, while Schneider had seven assists and four digs.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for St. Anthony, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Mt. Carmel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Richland County on the 6th. As for St. Anthony, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Hinsdale South on the 6th.
