Volleyball Recap: High Point Christian Academy Takes a Loss

High Point Christian Academy lost against Wesleyan Christian Academy back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Trojans, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

High Point Christian Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Kayden Walker and Kinslee Britton, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Landyn Smith and her eight assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Wesleyan Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Ella Kate Johnson, who had 18 digs and two assists.

High Point Christian Academy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

High Point Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Caldwell Academy on the 19th. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Forsyth Country Day on the 19th.
