Volleyball Recap: Ponderosa Comes Up Short

Ponderosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Chatfield Chargers. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-19, 25-16.

Lucy Wortman paced Ponderosa's offense, picking up ten kills. Wortman were helped by Rylie McNulty and Kylie Paul, who contributed 17 assists each. Paul also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brooklynn McClain, each putting up four.

Ponderosa's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Chatfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Ponderosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chatfield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Eaglecrest on the 25th.
