Basketball Recap: New London Takes a Loss

New London was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 41-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monroeville Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-36 back in January.

New London's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Monroeville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Coming up, New London will take on Colonel Crawford in a tournament on Friday. Colonel Crawford will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something New London surely won't give up without a fight. As for Monroeville, they will host Seneca East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
