Baseball Recap: Grand County's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Grand County can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Monticello Buckaroo by a score of 8-4. That's more bragging rights for the Red Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trace York was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Grand County is 2-1 when York allowsone or fewer hits, but 2-8 otherwise. York was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base. That's the most runs he has posted since March 3rd.

In other batting news, Grand County got a big performance out of Tatym Bisco, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Caden Swasey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Grand County's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-9. As for Monticello, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
