Softball Game Preview: Marshall County Marshals vs. Trigg County Wildcats

The Marshall County Marshals will face off against the Trigg County Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Marshall County is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Marshall County couldn't beat Christian County on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Marshals fell just short of the Colonels by a score of 6-5.

Meanwhile, Trigg County gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Paducah Tilghman 6-5.

Lily Eagleson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jazzy Tejada, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kady Fuller, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Marshall County's loss dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Trigg County, their win bumped their record up to 26-8.
