Recap: Wooster Colts vs. South Tahoe Vikings
Even though the South Tahoe Vikings scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, the Wooster Colts still came out on top. Wooster managed a 64-59 victory over South Tahoe. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wooster.
It was another big night for Jared Marquicias, who scored 18 points along with five steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Fernando Cisneros, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why South Tahoe lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ryder Tannaci. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tannaci has scored all season. Kai McClain was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Wooster now has a winning record of 9-8. As for South Tahoe, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Wooster will head out on the road to take on North Valleys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (North Valleys is ranked 64th, while Wooster is ranked 53rd). As for South Tahoe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sparks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sparks is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
