Basketball Recap: New Knoxville Takes a Loss

New Knoxville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parkway Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 50-42 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

New Knoxville's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Parkway, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

New Knoxville and Parkway could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. New Knoxville will challenge Botkins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday down 451 places (627 vs. 176). Meanwhile, Parkway (ranked 411th) will meet Spencerville (ranked 29th) at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
