The Champions Christian Academy Lions will venture away from home to take on the Excel Christian Academy Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Champions Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Faith Christian Academy.

Meanwhile, Excel Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Florida College Academy on Friday, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-9, 24-26, 25-20.

Champions Christian Academy better focus on containing Desteny Orozco and Karlene Fernandez as the pair were huge in Excel Christian Academy's win. Orozco had six aces, while Fernandez had three aces and one block. Fernandez is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Excel Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Champions Christian Academy's record now sits at 2-4. As for Excel Christian Academy, their record is now 2-5.
