Meanwhile, Metro-East Lutheran beat Father McGivney Catholic 6-2 on Thursday.
Jeda Robinson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Haleigh Knipping, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Gillespie pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
