Softball Recap: Adams Central Has No Trouble Against Hershey

Adams Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Hershey on Tuesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won four games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jordyn Pracht made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Pracht was also solid in the batter's box, earning two RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lakyn Lewis, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those runs were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lucy Svoboda, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Adams Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Hershey, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Adams Central will take on Grand Island Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hershey, they will challenge Chase County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
