Volleyball Recap: San Juan Comes Up Short

San Juan lost against Highlands back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scots. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Scots 25-19 in the first set.

San Juan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-11, 25-22, 25-23.

San Juan dropped their record down to 4-19 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

San Juan will venture away from home to take on Golden Sierra at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Highlands, they will host Encina at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
