If Minneapolis Southwest wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Anoka, they should've done a better job of containing Ava Lanasa. The Tornadoes came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lakers on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2 thanks in part to Lanasa, who had 13 digs and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Anoka was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-14, 17-15.
Blaine not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on St. Francis with a sharp 3-0 win.
