Baseball Recap: Hewitt-Trussville Falls Short of Bob Jones in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hewitt-Trussville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Bob Jones Patriots by a score of 4-3 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Hewitt-Trussville and nudges their season record down to 33-4. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Bob Jones, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 36-10.

As of now, neither Hewitt-Trussville nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
