Volleyball Recap: Fernandina Beach Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Parsons Christian Academy last Thursday, Fernandina Beach came back down to earth. The Pirates took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Creekside Knights on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-9, 22-25, 25-16.

Ava Maggart paced Fernandina Beach's offense, picking up ten kills. Maggart got some help from Zatie Venditti and her 19 assists. Venditti was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Fernandina Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Creekside, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fernandina Beach will take on Parsons Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Creekside, they will face off against Mandarin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
