Volleyball Game Preview: Hampden Charter School of Science vs. Libertas Academy Charter Lions

Hampden Charter School of Science will head out on the road to challenge the Libertas Academy Charter Lions at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Meanwhile, Libertas Academy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of John J. Duggan Academy. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating John J. Duggan Academy 25-17 in the first set.

Libertas Academy Charter wouldn't go down easily and took John J. Duggan Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-8, 22-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Hampden Charter School of Science now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Libertas Academy Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
