Soccer Recap: Johnston Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Johnston played against Block Island on Thursday and won via forfeit.

Johnston was without their leading scorer, Darrell Acosta Sanchez, in Thursday's matchup. With Acosta Sanchez sidelined, Andre Amato got his first action of the season.

Johnston has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matches. As for Block Island, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

As of now, neither Johnston nor Block Island have any future games scheduled.
