Volleyball Recap: Sunset Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sunset can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Ransom Everglades Raiders on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since August 28th.

While Sunset was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-9, 25-22.

Lola Picchetti had a dynamite game For Ransom Everglades., getting 19 digs, 12 kills, and two aces. That's the most kills Picchetti has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Catherine Moyle, who had 20 assists and eight digs.

Sunset has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Ransom Everglades, their victory bumped their record up to 9-15.

Sunset does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ransom Everglades, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) on the 16th.
