Webster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sperry Pirates. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Webster's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sperry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Sperry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Hulbert on the 28th. Hopefully Webster paid attention to the Pirates' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
