Football Recap: Tupelo Christian Prep Takes a Loss

Tupelo Christian Prep was the 19-13 winner over Harding Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles lost to the Lions on the road by a 20-6 margin on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Knox Hensley threw for 81 yards on three of nine attempts. Nathan Cornelison was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards.

Justin Barham was nothing short of spectacular for Harding Academy: he rushed for 110 yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave Barham a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).

Tupelo Christian Prep now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Harding Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Tupelo Christian Prep has already played their next matchup, a 51-6 win against Strayhorn on the 18th. As for Harding Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 56-0 defeat against Trinity Christian Academy on the 18th.
