Preview: Graham vs. Sweetwater

Sweetwater (10-2) has a real challenge coming up -- the hardest it has met all year. Both it and Graham (12-0) have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. Sweetwater might be feeling good about this one after its surprising comeback last game.

Last week, Sweetwater took on Vernon. Sweetwater had a poor defensive performance in the first half, giving up 20 points. That left it at a 20 - 14 disadvantage. Thankfully, the offense came through for it, scoring 18 in the second half. Mounting a remarkable comeback after the third quarter, it absconded with a 32 - 28 victory.

As for Graham, it can now show off nine landslide victories after its most recent game. It dominated last week, steamrollering Monahans 56 - 14. One major factor in the win was the play of senior Tucker Horn, who threw for 183 yards and five touchdowns. If you haven't heard of Horn, then you haven't been paying attention since he has loomed large in Graham's past seven games. Senior Adam Groves banked an additional two TDs for the team.

The two teams picked up some nice yardage in their most recent games (467 for Sweetwater and 436 for Graham), so expect some excitement on the offensive end of the ball.
