Preview: Westhill Warriors vs. Mexico Tigers

Westhill has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Mexico Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westhill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Mexico likes a good challenge.

Westhill scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Chittenango by a score of 84-77. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Mexico posted their biggest win yet this season last Saturday. They put the hurt on Alexandria Central with a sharp 57-37 win.

Westhill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Mexico, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Westhill against Mexico when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 91-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westhill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
