Basketball Recap: Rockport-Fulton Comes Up Short

Rockport-Fulton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 43-35 to the La Joya Coyotes.

La Joya's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Santiago Vera, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Vera continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Daniel Trevino, who posted 11 points.

Rockport-Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for La Joya, their win bumped their record up to 7-16.

Rockport-Fulton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 88-40 victory against Pettus on the 28th. La Joya has also already played their next contest, a 58-54 win against Austin Achieve Northeast on the 28th.
