Soccer Recap: Peninsula Comes Up Short

After flying high against Maranatha on Saturday, Peninsula came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monrovia Wildcats on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Peninsula of the 4-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Monrovia, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-6-1.

Coming up, Peninsula is taking a road trip to square off against West at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Monrovia and Polytechnic will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Monrovia will need to watch out since Polytechnic have now posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
