Basketball Recap: Jackson Christian's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Jackson Christian put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 58-54 W against the Union City Golden Tornadoes. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Tornadoes, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kelsey Rose Jr., who went 7-for-14 on his way to 19 points and eight boards. Rose Jr. is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Jackson, who made all 5 shots he took to post 14 points.

Jackson Christian's record now sits at 4-0. As for Union City, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Jackson Christian will welcome Bolivar Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union City, they will take on Lausanne Collegiate at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
