Basketball Recap: Kurtis Colon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Champions Christian Academy over Winter Haven Christian

Champions Christian Academy lost against Winter Haven Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lions fell 61-54 to the Warriors.

Champions Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kurtis Colon, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Kenyell Benitez was another key player, shooting 55% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Champions Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Champions Christian Academy will head out to challenge Candlelight Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winter Haven Christian, they will be playing at home against Families Instructing Students HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
