Volleyball Recap: Bruce Gets the Win

Bruce hadn't done well against Cornell recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Red Raiders came out on top against the Chiefs by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on Thursday.

While Bruce won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18.

Anna Hautamaki paced Bruce's offense, picking up nine kills. Hautamaki got some help from Izzy Kemmitz and her 14 assists. Hautamaki was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Bruce now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cornell, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Bruce didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser on the 6th. As for Cornell, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cumberland on the 6th.
