Basketball Recap: Windsor Triumphs

Windsor's tournament run continued when they took on Mullen on Friday. The Wizards pulled ahead with a 59-58 photo finish over the Mustangs.

Madden Smiley was the offensive standout of the game as he shot 43% from the field en route to 20 points and six boards. Brady Kingsley was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Mullen's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Bonner, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 15 boards. Bonner is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Bauer, who posted 13 points and three steals.

The win got Windsor back to even at 1-1. As for Mullen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Windsor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-31 loss against St. Francis Prep on the 6th. As for Mullen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 70-53 victory against Prairie View on the 6th.
