Football Game Preview: Central Spartans vs. Brawley Wildcats + How To Watch

The Central Spartans will challenge the Brawley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brawley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Central, who comes in off a win.

Central got their first taste of in-conference action last Friday and they started things off strong. They strolled past Calexico with points to spare, taking the game 35-20. The Spartans' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Central had a senior duo take command as Luis Jimenez threw for 249 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes and Joshua Garcia picked up 135 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 135 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Garcia.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Brawley faced off against Imperial on Friday. The Wildcats fell 14-7 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Tigers are ranked 140th).

This is the second loss in a row for Brawley and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
