Game recap: Mountain Pointe High School Football Team wins against Hamilton

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, Ariz.) saw its 18-point lead shrink to 10, but hung on to upset Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.) 37-27 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Antonio Hinojosa to Jalen Brown in the first quarter, the Pride led 23-14 at the half.

Mountain Pointe grew its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. MP's lone score in the quarter came on an Hinojosa touchdown pass to Brown.

The loss snapped Hamilton's four-game winning streak.



The Phoenix school avenged last year's 17-7 loss to the Huskies with the victory.

The defeat comes as a step back for Hamilton, which notched a 14-10 victory over Liberty in its previous outing.
