Recap: Mead Mavericks vs. Centaurus Warriors
The Mead Mavericks entered their tilt with the Centaurus Warriors with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Mead secured a 55-49 W over Centaurus on Wednesday. Given Mead's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Centaurus is ranked 170th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Dominic Reed mclawrence, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Averey Baucom, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Mead has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Centaurus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Mead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-45 win vs. Holy Family on the 9th. Centaurus has also already played their next match, a 64-55 loss against Windsor on the 9th.
