Basketball Recap: Payette Comes Up Short

Payette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt a 60-32 loss at the hands of the Homedale Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-26 back in January.

Payette's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Michael Ocampo, who posted nine points and seven boards, and Dylan Mines, who earned nine points.

Payette's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Homedale, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Payette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 86-18 defeat against Cole Valley Christian on the 10th. As for Homedale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-34 win against McCall-Donnelly on the 11th.
