Football Recap: South Sevier Rams vs. North Sanpete Hawks
South Sevier lost against North Sanpete back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The South Sevier Rams took a 35-21 bruising from the North Sanpete Hawks. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Although South Sevier took the loss, they still got scores from Hudson Flinders, Kanyon Okerlund, and Boston Palmer.
Even though they lost, South Sevier was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.
North Sanpete's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kash Cook, who rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns.
South Sevier's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Sanpete, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Sevier will head out to challenge Providence Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Sevier is facing Providence Hall at the right time seeing as Providence Hall is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Sanpete, they will face off against Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Sanpete will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
