Volleyball Game Preview: Freeport Pretzels vs. Boylan Catholic Titans

The Freeport Pretzels will head out on the road to challenge the Boylan Catholic Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freeport has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 10.

On Thursday, Freeport came up short against Rockford East and fell 2-0.

Despite the loss, Freeport saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kiptyn Reisenbichler had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Reisenbichler.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Boylan Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Guilford 2-1 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Titans have posted since May 11, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Boylan Catholic who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 23-25, 26-24.

Freeport better keep an eye on Abraham Parsons. He was instrumental in Boylan Catholic's win, getting 23 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Parsons has posted over his last four matchups.
